My recent urges to indulge in a home-cooked meal with freshly-picked asparagus, bruschetta-topped slices of baguette, and a rhubarb dream dessert on my plate led me to the Omaha Farmers Market.
In the middle of the nation’s breadbasket, I expected to find fresh fruits and veggies in abundance; but there is so much more to our city! The weekly farmers markets found all over town prove just that.
French pastries, pizza crusts and breads from Le Petit Paris
Raw Local Honey from It’s All About Bees;
Handmade jewelry from The Twisted Jewel Café;
Soaps, volcanic peppers, flowers, dog treats, authentic Mexican foods, pottery;
and the list goes on. It can all be found in the Old Market’s weekly Farmers Market.
But Omaha boasts a plethora of farmers markets all across town and on varying days of the week.

Features over 30 vendors. Head over for morning yoga the first Saturday of each month, 8:30-9:30 am.
